Before the AI search work starts, one decision

Hi Katie — the Francesca Frost side of your package is done and live. Before I do the same for drpepermd.com, there is one thing only you can decide, because it changes what the work is.

The decision

You have two Dr Peper websites. The one the world sees, drpepermd.com, is your WordPress site with every episode and blog post on it. The new one I built for you is finished but has never been launched.

I need to know which one you want to be your real site, because the AI search work should go into that one and not the other.

My recommendation

1. Build on the site that is live now

I do the AI search work on your current WordPress site. Everything Google already knows about you stays, including every episode and blog post you have written, and the fixes below go in straight away.

Covered by what you have already paid. I could start this week.

2. Launch the new site as your front page, keep the content behind it

The new design becomes your home page, and your episodes and blog posts stay published underneath it so nothing is lost. This is the best-looking outcome, but it is a build job rather than a tune-up, so I would quote it separately before starting.

3. Replace the current site with the new one

I would steer you away from this. The new site is a single beautiful page with five episodes on it. Your current site has about 145 pages. Swapping one for the other would throw away almost everything Google and the AI tools currently have to read about you.

Just reply with 1, 2 or 3 and I will get going.

What you have today

Whichever way you go, it is worth knowing the current site is a real asset. This is not a thin site.

145pages Google can find
54blog posts
85podcast & episode pages
28msserver response time

What I found

I went through the live site this week. These are the things holding it back, in the order I would fix them.

Fix first
Every episode is published at two different web addresses This is what those “pages are not being indexed” emails from Google are about. 32 of your 34 episodes exist twice: once at /episode/11-ai-superpowers/ and again at /podcast-2/ai-superpowers/. Both load, both have the same title, and each one tells Google it is the original. Google has to pick one and ignore the other, and the strength of the episode gets split between the two instead of counting once. Fixing this is the single biggest thing on the list.
Fix
No page descriptions anywhere on the site Not one page has a search description, so Google writes its own from whatever text it finds first. That sentence under your name in the search results is the only sales pitch you get, and right now nobody is writing it.
Fix
The page titles do not say what the pages are Your home page is titled just “Home”. Your about page is “My DNA”, your contact page is “Thank You”, and your social media page is “Refreshing Medicine”. Nothing tells Google that this is a physician who makes a short podcast about AI, which is exactly what someone would be searching for.
Fix
Nothing on the site identifies you or the podcast to AI tools There is no hidden description of you as a person and a physician, and nothing marking the site as a podcast with episodes. When someone asks ChatGPT or Google’s AI for “a short podcast that explains AI”, this is the information they read to decide who to name. At the moment there is none, so you are not in that answer.
Fix
Your Instagram and YouTube buttons do not go to your accounts They link to instagram.com and youtube.com, the front doors of those sites, rather than to you. Anyone clicking them lands nowhere useful. Your Twitter and LinkedIn links are correct.
Fix
The Google Podcasts button is dead, and Apple points at the wrong country Google Podcasts shut down, so that button now dumps people on a “this service has moved” notice instead of your show. The Apple Podcasts link goes to the Czech store rather than the US one. Spotify and your podcast feed are both fine.
Working
The hosting and the plumbing are in good shape The site is fast, it is secure, your sitemaps are being generated, and your podcast feed is healthy. None of that needs money spent on it.
Working
You have a lot of genuinely good content Fifty-four blog posts and eighty-five podcast pages is more than most sites in your field have. The problem is not what you have written, it is that it is competing with itself and not labelled in a way the AI tools can use.

One more thing, and it is a privacy one

While I was looking, I found the unlaunched new site sitting on your author domain, at a web address anyone could reach. It has your real name at the top of it, on the site you publish romance under the name Francesca Frost.

I have already blocked it from search engines today so it will not be indexed, and nothing else was changed. Nobody is likely to have found it, but it should not stay there, and what I do with it next depends on which of the three options you pick above.

Meanwhile, on the author side

The Francesca Frost half of your package is finished and live. The Crypto King’s Muse now has its own page with everything the AI tools look for, all the dead links are gone, the review quotes are readable as text rather than only inside a picture, and the site now tells search engines and AI tools who you are and what you have written.

I will send the before-and-after report for both sites at the end of the first month, as promised.
